AUDITIONS FOR THE WRITER'S AVENUE FILMS LAUNCH
DATE: 18th May 2012
TIME: 10am-12pm
LOCATION: Soho Theatre (main house)
REHEARSALS: 28th May day time
29th May from 1pm at Soho Theatre
DETAILS: Auditions to participate in the film games in which
3-5 minute extracts from popular films from the
last 15 years are presented and the audience
guess which film they are from. Actors should
audition with the actor(s) they want to perform
with and the scene shall require no more than 3
actors. If the film is American the actors should
use the accent.
APPLY: One of the actors from the group auditioning
should email castings@writersavenue.co.uk with
the spotlightlinks, and contact details of the actors
and the name of the film and characters.
Please note there will not be any additional days for auditions. Actors sort out their own rehearsals but will have a half an hour rehearsal on 28th May.

CONSULTATIONS FOR START UP AND NEW COMPANIES
Due to the Artistic Director, Sandra Thompson-Quartey, receiving several requests to offer services to new start up and young theatre companies, she is now offering the following consultations:
1. STARTING A THEATRE COMPANY
(Legal structure, roles, finances, mission statement , opening an account , HMRC etc)
2. PUTTING ON A THEATRE EVENT OR FRINGE PRODUCTION
(Finances, selecting a theatre, assembling cast and crew, coordination, marketing etc)
3. WRITING A BUSINESS PLAN
(Executive summary, background, services/products, marketing plan, personnel, operation plan, financial plan, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, objectives)
4. RUNNING YOUR NEW THEATRE COMPANY
(progression, developing business initiatives, running more effectively, raising the profile, identifying current strengths and weaknesses and opportunties etc)
5. SOLVING COMPANY PROBLEMS
(i.e. Production issues, finance issues, company member conflicts)
